Haapsalu Lacy Shawl is world famous. We are organizing this tour in August, because as always in August there will be the Haapsalu Lace Festival. Participants will be able to attend the festival on Sunday, August 30th, filled with marvelous activities, knitting competition, exhibitions and much more.
Western Estonia is rich in beautiful handicraft techniques. During three days we will learn to knit the Haapsalu Lace Shawl instructed by the best local master Siiri Reimann.
We will also learn the Lihula flower embroidery, which is very famous in Estonia.
There will be a day-trip to Vormsi Island, see their sights, nature and crafts.

The fourth biggest lake in Europe is Lake Peipus in Estonia. Standing on its shore it feels like you are near a sea. Not too far from the lake is a wonderful handicraft and wellness farm called Turgi Talu. Turgi farm hostess Veinika Västrik is an experienced weaving teacher and author of several handbooks for weavers. Estonia is rich in beautiful handicraft techniques. Weaving fabrics on a loom is a widely spread skill. Pick-up woven belts called kirivöö were very popular over several centuries and doing their renaissance right now. There are hidden stories woven into belts, we will have a chance to discover some of them with the help of handicraft master Piia Rand. During the tour we will relax in Kadrina Manor. Estonian coastline is very long for a small area - 3800 km, the majority of which are the coastlines of the islands. The coastline of the continent is 1240 km long. During this handicraft tour we will visit Ruhnu island off the western coast of Estonia and spend a lot of time near the sea in Pärnu and vicinity. We relax in a beautoful Hotel Pärnu and in a lovely rural farm house B&B in Ruhnu Island. Pärnu is a summer resort town on Baltic Sea with marvelous wide white sandy beach.
