#235: Finely Knitted Estonian Gloves in Kihnu Style with Corn Flower Motif Entrelac Cuffs Natural Yarns

145.00

Knitted with mostly two colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The pattern comes from Kihnu Island off the western coast of Estonia. It is an ancient geometrical pattern, depicting a corn flower. On the fingers there is a smaller geometrical pattern, which is quite old. Tightly knitted using 00-size needles and DK weight yarn. Most of the yarns are natural sheep color, 100% wool from Kihnu Island, Estonia. The red yarns are dyed. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter. Beautiful entrelac cuffs are very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist. The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin. Women’s size, approximately 7.5
