#202: Hand Knitted Estonian Gloves in Rapla Style with Pinks and Natural White with Entrelac Wrist Bean Leaf Pattern

135.00

Knitted mostly with three colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The wrists are knitted in the entralac technique using matching shades and some burgundy.

It is an ancient geometrical pattern from Rapla area in Southern Harju County, nowadays Rapla County. It depicts bean leaves, that is also how the patter is called – a Bean Leaf Pattern.

Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The pink yarns are hand dyed, 100% wool from Estonia. The off-white is natural sheep color. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter.

The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.

Women’s size, approximately 7,5-8.
