Knitted with a lot of diferent colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The pattern comes from Halliste area in historic Mulgi Region, nowadays Viljandi County, ESTONIA. It is a large ancient motif, depicting the powerful 8-pointed star and the snake pattern. The star, with its 8 corners unites heaven and hell, good and bad, light and dark. It protects you from all the evil. This PESSUTULBA KIRI pattern was worn going to court to get justice.
Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. All the yarns are hand dyed, 100% wool from Estonia. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter. Beautiful triangular ribbing is very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist.
The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
Women’s size 8-8,5.
