#236: Finely Knitted Estonian Lady’s Gloves in Rapla Style Powerful Looped Square Motifs Natural Brown Sheep Color Triangular Cuffs

Knitted with mostly three color yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The main pattern is called a Looped Square and it is an ancient and very powerful and protective pattern from Rapla area in Estonia. It also has a Sieve Pattern, great universal sieve, separating good from evil.

Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The red yarn is hand dyed, the off-white and dark brown are natural sheep colors, 100% wool from Estonia. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter. Beautiful colorful triangular ribbing is very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist.

The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
