Knitted with three different colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The pattern comes from Rannu area in historic Tartu-Maarja County, ESTONIA. It is an intricate motif of stars and squares and even a powerful 8-pointed star and the original museum copy was knitted by a blind person.
Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The pink and purple yarns are hand dyed, 100% wool from Estonia. The off-white is natural sheep color. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter. Beautiful lacy ribbing is very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist.
The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
Women’s size 8.
