Knitted with three different yarns in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The pattern comes from Musa Village in Risti area in Western ESTONIA. The pattern is an ancient one, as the small geometrical ones are the oldest. An original piece of the same pattern can be seen here: https://www.muis.ee/museaalview/557206
Collected from Musa Village in Risti Parish in 1913.
Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The red yarn is hand dyed, 100% wool from Estonia. The off-white and brown yarns are natural sheep color. They come from Kihnu Island. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter. Beautiful lacy ribbing is very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist.
The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
Women’s size 7,5-8.
