#266: Finely Knitted Estonian Lady’s Gloves in Kihnu Style in Pink and Natural Grey and Natural Brown Yarn from Kihnu Island with Lacy Cuffs

Knitted with three colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The pattern comes from Kihnu Island off the West coast of ESTONIA. It is an ancient motif on them: a Branching Pattern and an 8-Pointed Star Pattern.

Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The red yarn is hand dyed, 100% wool from Estonia. The grey and brown yarns are natural sheep color. They come from Kihnu Island. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter. Beautiful lacy ribbing is very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist. It also has a nice Kihnu braid after the cuff part before the palm pattern starts.

The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
