Estonia has very cold winters, hence we are used to make and wear woolen everything. Nowadays more and more people are rising sheep and working to add value to the raw wool. New small wool mills are emerging and farmers are interested in maintaining the old local breeds. During this wool study tour we will visit some sheep farmers and wool mills of Estonia. We will also visit some handicrafters, who are using wool in an artistic way. There is a wonderful academy in Viljandi, where you can study many heritage crafts. We will see their premises and hear about their work.
