Knitted with mostly three colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The pattern comes from Äksi area in Tartu County, ESTONIA . It is an old pattern. A pair of mittens with similar pattern was collected to the Estonian National Museum in 1911 and it was knitted in 1871.
Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. All the yarns are hand dyed, 100% wool from Estonia. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter. Beautiful twisty ribbing is very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist.
The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
Women’s size 7.5-8.
