#163: Finely Knitted Estonian Mulgi Gloves in Paistu Style in Pink and Burgundy and Green Galore Cuffs

113.00

Knitted with mostly three colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The pattern comes from Paistu area in historic Mulgi Region, nowadays Viljandi County in ESTONIA. It is an ancient geometrical motif, it is called a Goat Eye Pattern.

Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. All the yarns are hand dyed, all 100% wool from Estonia. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter. Beautiful triangular ribbing is very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist. I have use a lot of the tiny yarn balls which are left overs from bigger projects. That creates a joyful combination which will draw a lot of attention.

The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. Every fifth row is with three yarns. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.

Approx women’s size 8.
