#162: Hand Knitted Estonian Gloves in Viru-Jaagupi Style with Entrelac Wrists Purple Galore and Butterfly Pattern

128.00

Knitted mostly with three colored purple yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The wrists are knitted in the entralac technique using matching shades and a row of pink.

The pattern comes from Viru-Jaagupi area in Estonia. It is an ancient geometrical pattern, depicting crosses and rhombi. It is called a Butterfly Pattern.

Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The yarns are hand dyed, 100% wool from Estonia. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter.

The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.

Women’s size approximately 7,5-8.
