Knitted with five different colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The pattern comes from Tarvastu are in historic Mulgi Region in ESTONIA. It is an intricate geometrical motif, a mix of a cat paw pattern and powerful 8-pointed star pattern. Changing colors in mid motif makes it look more complicated than it is.
Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. All the yarns are hand dyed, all 100% wool from Estonia. The off-white is natural sheep color. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter.
Beautiful lacy ribbing with so many colors is very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist.
The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
Approx women’s size 8-8.5
