#158: Finely Knitted Lady’s Estonian Gloves in Leppoja Style with Bright Scarlet Red on Dark Brown Natural Sheep Color

Knitted with two colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. I found this pattern in my own old farm house. The ornament seems to be like a copy from a wall paper. It’s very elegant and intricate.

Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The red yarn is hand dyed, 100% wool from Estonia. The dark bear brown is natural sheep color. Beautiful triangular ribbing is very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist.

The gloves are colorworked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
