#124: Hand Knitted Estonian Lady’s Gloves in Räpina Style with Pink Blue and Natural White with Entrelac Wrist Snow Flakes

135.00

Knitted mostly with three colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The wrists are knitted in the entralac technique using matching shades and some turquoise.

It is an ancient geometrical pattern from Räpina area in Old Võro, nowadays Põlva County. It depicts snow flakes, that is also how the patter is called – a Snow Flake Pattern.

Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The pink and blue yarns are hand dyed, 100% wool from Estonia. The off-white is natural sheep color. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter.

The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.

Women’s size.
