Knitted mostly with two colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The wrists are knitted in the entralac technique using matching shades, some blues and yellow.
The pattern comes from Helme area in historic Mulgi Region, nowadays Valga County. It is an ancient geometrical pattern, depicting crosses and rhombi. It is called an Elk Horn Pattern.
Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The yarns are hand dyed, 100% wool from Estonia. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter.
The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
