Knitted mostly with two colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The wrists are knitted in the entralac technique using matching shades, some pinks and reds.
The pattern comes from Irboska area in Setoland, currently in Pskovs Oblast, Russia. It is an ancient geometrical pattern, depicting a wave or swirl. This is an ancient Roman pattern brought here by old time merchants and warriors.
Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The yarns are hand dyed, 100% wool from Estonia. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter.
The gloves are color-worked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-layer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
