Knitted with two colored yarn in traditional Estonian fair-isle style. The pattern comes from Irboska area in Setoland, ESTONIA. It is an intricate square motif. The geometrical motifs like this one are the most ancient.
Tightly knitted using 0-size needles and DK weight yarn. The red yarn is hand dyed, the dark yarn is natural sheep color, all 100% wool from Estonia. It is lamb’s wool to be so dark. Once the sheep gets older the shade will become lighter brown. They are perfect to block wind and wear in winter. Beautiful lacy ribbing is very elegant, like a bracelet around your wrist.
The gloves are colorworked all the way to the fingertips, which makes them warmer than average thin one-leyer gloves. The yarn being rather thin makes them very comfortable to wear and they fit like a second skin.
Approx women’s size 7.
